Titan Boys Basketball Beats Marion, Headed to ‘SHIP!
March 8, 2020
On Saturday, March 7, the Jacksonville High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team earned a spot in the 2019-2020 5A Conference championship game.
The Titans defeated Marion with a score of 54-53.
The win came despite several controversial calls towards the end of the game that went against the Titans. For example, a loose ball foul was called on one of the JHS players when he was tripped after it was a loose ball.
“The game was crazy,” said Senior Jalen Taylor, who plays forward. “I’m glad we won because this was a dream, but the mission is not done all the way.”
The team will play for the state championship at the Hot Springs Convention Center in Hot Springs, AR at 1:15pm on Saturday, March 14, 2020.
