Jennifer Riley, Adviser
Ms. Riley is the adviser for the JHS Thunderbolt and Titan Yearbook. She attended Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, earning a BA in English. After graduating college, she worked as a writer/editor for a national trade journal for six years. She also has worked as a Communications Operator for the City of Jacksonville and as a Medical Reviewer for a national law firm. She earned a MEd in Secondary Education in 2013 and has been teaching English and Journalism ever since. She loves the production process, comparing it to putting a magnificent puzzle together -- only you have to hunt for each piece, and the dog keeps eating them! "There's nothing like the feeling of satisfaction I get when I see how proud my students are when a news story they worked on is published or the day the yearbooks arrive," she said.
Ms. Riley has two children, Emily and Peter, and a chihuahua named Bandit, each of whom is a motivating light in her life. She also enjoys spending time with her mother, reading novels, binge watching BBC series, and lounging around the pool with friends during the summer.
